This Ox Lying Down figure is part of the Marolin Nativities collection, featuring traditional papier-mâché nativity animals made in Germany. It is hand-painted and crafted using classic moulds.

The Ox Lying Down figure represents a resting ox, a common animal in nativity scenes symbolizing patience and strength. It is produced by Marolin, a studio in Thuringia, Germany, known for its papier-mâché nativity figures made in traditional moulds since 1900. The figure is hand-painted with naturalistic brown and white tones, capturing the texture and form of the animal.

This piece belongs to the Marolin Nativities collection, which includes traditional nativity sets and figures such as sheep, oxen, and donkeys. The figure is crafted entirely from papier-mâché, not wood, maintaining the studio's heritage of lightweight, durable, and finely detailed nativity animals. It is offered in a single, unspecified size and is intended for indoor nativity displays. Navidad Nativities selects and ships these figures from their Bucks County, Pennsylvania workshop, ensuring quality and authenticity.
