This Camel lying figure from Original Heide captures lifelike animal gestures in hand-carved wood with a hand-painted finish. It complements the studio's nativity collections with naturalistic detail.

The Camel lying figure is a finely hand-carved wooden animal from Original Heide, a family workshop in Val Gardena, South Tyrol, Italy. Known for their masterful craftsmanship, Original Heide artisans carve each figure from mountain maple or lime wood, then hand-paint and texture it to achieve realistic detail. The figures are posed on wire armatures and draped in hardened fabrics when applicable, though this animal is undressed, emphasizing its natural form.

This camel figure is part of the studio's range of nativity animals, designed to pair seamlessly with their Immanuel, Rustika, and Hannah collections. Offered in sizes from 12 to 20 cm, it is suitable for indoor nativity scenes and adds a traditional, rustic charm to any nativity set. Navidad Nativities carefully selects and imports these heirloom-quality figures, which are hand-signed by the Original Heide studio.
