The Running Camel is a hand-carved wooden animal figure by Original Heide, a family workshop in Val Gardena, Italy. It features lifelike gestures and fine hand-painted details.

The Running Camel is part of the Original Heide collection, known for its lifelike animal figures carved entirely from mountain maple wood. This figure captures the dynamic motion of a camel in mid-stride, showcasing the studio's skill in realistic woodcarving and texturing. Each piece is hand-signed by the artisans, emphasizing its authenticity and craftsmanship.

Original Heide figures are carved on wire armatures and draped in hardened fabrics, although the animals in this line are undressed to highlight their natural form. The figure is hand-painted with subtle shading to enhance its realistic appearance. Available in sizes ranging from 12 to 20 cm, this camel pairs well with other Original Heide collections such as Immanuel, Rustika, and Hannah. It is an indoor collectible nativity figure suitable for nativity scenes and sets.
