Mary and Joseph Knocking is a hand-carved wooden nativity figure from the Heide Immanuel collection by Original Heide, featuring detailed carving and hand-painted finishes with fabric draping.

This finely crafted nativity figure depicts Mary seated on a donkey with Joseph standing beside her, holding the reins and a staff, symbolizing their journey to Bethlehem. Created by Original Heide, a family woodcarving workshop in Val Gardena, South Tyrol, Italy, the figures are hand-carved from maple and lime wood. The figures are posed on wire armatures and draped in hardened fabrics, lending a lifelike and textured appearance to the scene.

The hand-painted details bring out the expressive faces and realistic clothing folds, enhancing the traditional nativity narrative. Available in sizes ranging from 10 to 40 cm, this figure is part of the Heide Immanuel collection, known for its exquisite craftsmanship and indoor display suitability. Navidad Nativities carefully selects and imports these heirloom-quality figures, which are popular among collectors and nativity enthusiasts alike.
