This figure represents a herdsman holding a lamb, from the Original Heide studio known for hand-carved wooden nativity figures posed on wire armatures and draped in hardened fabrics.

The Herdsman with Lamb is a finely hand-carved wooden figure from Original Heide, a family woodcarving workshop in Val Gardena, South Tyrol, Italy. This artisan nativity figure is crafted from maple and lime wood, posed on a wire armature for natural posture, and dressed in carefully hardened fabric clothing. The figure depicts a bearded herdsman carrying a lamb wrapped in a cloth, dressed in a green jacket and beige trousers, embodying rustic shepherd life.

Available in various sizes ranging from 12 cm to 40 cm, this collectible nativity figure fits beautifully within traditional and large nativity sets. The hand-painted finish and detailed carving highlight the craftsmanship typical of Original Heide's work. Selected and shipped by Navidad Nativities, this figure complements indoor nativity scenes with authentic European artistry and timeless nativity symbolism.
