King Kneeling is a hand-carved wooden figure from the Heide Immanuel collection by Original Heide, a family workshop in Val Gardena, Italy. It features detailed carving, hand-painting, and fabric draping on wire armature.

This King Kneeling figure represents one of the Three Kings or Wise Men in a traditional nativity scene. Crafted by Original Heide, a renowned family woodcarving workshop in Val Gardena, South Tyrol, Italy, the figure is hand-carved from maple and lime wood. The carving is posed on a wire armature, allowing for realistic posture and draping.

The figure is dressed in richly colored fabrics that are hardened to maintain their shape, including a green cloak trimmed with faux fur and gold detailing, a red undergarment, and a turban-style headdress. The king holds a golden gift on a red cushion, emphasizing his role as a gift-bearer in the nativity narrative. The hand-painted details bring lifelike expression and intricate patterns to the figure.

Available in sizes ranging from 10 cm to 40 cm, this wooden nativity figure is an heirloom-quality piece ideal for indoor nativity sets. It is selected and shipped by Navidad Nativities, a respected US retailer known for curating fine artisan nativity figures.
