This Shepherd with Bag figure is part of the Heide Rustika collection by Original Heide, a family woodcarving workshop in Val Gardena, Italy. It features hand-carved wooden craftsmanship with hand-painted details and hardened fabric clothing.

The Shepherd with Bag is a finely detailed nativity figure from the Heide Rustika collection by Original Heide, a renowned family workshop in Val Gardena, South Tyrol, Italy. This figure represents a traditional shepherd, depicted with a walking stick and a bag, dressed in layered fabric garments that are hardened to hold their shape.

Crafted from hand-carved maple and lime wood, the figure is posed on a wire armature allowing naturalistic positioning. The hand-painted finish brings out the characterful facial expression and textured clothing in muted, earthy tones. The hardened fabric technique used for the shepherd's clothing adds realism and durability to the figure.

Available in multiple sizes ranging from 12 cm to 75 cm, this wooden shepherd figure is ideal for indoor nativity scenes and complements other figures in the Heide Rustika collection. Navidad Nativities selects and imports these heirloom-quality figures, celebrated for their traditional craftsmanship and authentic Italian nativity artistry.
