This figure represents a shepherd kneeling while holding a lamb, part of the Heide Rustika collection by Original Heide. The figure is hand-carved in wood and draped in hardened fabric.

The Shepherd Kneeling with Lamb is a finely hand-carved wooden nativity figure from the Heide Rustika collection by Original Heide, a renowned family workshop in Val Gardena, South Tyrol, Italy. This figure depicts a shepherd in a kneeling pose, tenderly holding a lamb on his knee, capturing a moment of care and devotion within the nativity scene.

Crafted from maple and lime wood, the figure is posed on a wire armature allowing for naturalistic positioning and is dressed in hardened fabrics that enhance the lifelike appearance. The hand-painted finish adds intricate detail to the shepherd's facial features and clothing, showcasing the artisan skill typical of Original Heide's work. Available in multiple sizes from 12 to 40 cm, this indoor figure complements traditional and rustic nativity sets.

Selected and shipped through Navidad Nativities, this figure is part of a heritage of collectible nativity figures known for their craftsmanship and authenticity, ideal for collectors and those seeking a traditional Christmas nativity scene made in Italy.
