Flight Into Egypt is a carved wooden nativity scene group from the Heide Rustika collection by Original Heide. The figures are hand-carved in wood, posed on wire armatures, and dressed in hardened fabrics.

This Flight Into Egypt scene depicts Mary holding the infant Jesus while seated on a donkey, led by Joseph walking beside them. Crafted by Original Heide, a family woodcarving workshop in Val Gardena, South Tyrol, Italy, this group is part of the Heide Rustika collection known for its detailed hand-carved wooden figures. Each figure is carved from maple and lime wood, hand-painted, and posed on wire armatures to allow naturalistic positioning.

The figures are draped in finely hardened fabrics that simulate authentic clothing textures and folds, enhancing the realism and traditional aesthetic. Sizes range from 12 to 40 cm, suitable for indoor nativity displays. This artisan nativity figure group exemplifies the heritage and craftsmanship of Italian nativity art, selected and shipped through the Navidad Nativities workshop in Pennsylvania.
