In one of their latest creations, Navidad Nativites has once again re-imagined the traditional Christmas Crib. Encased within an antique traveling Assayer’s Apothecary Scale, this Nativity represent the alpine Christmas traditions of South Tyrol, the mountain region of Northern Italy. The Original Ulrich Collection of carved wood and hand-painted figures are set in a traditional wooden stable, one typical of the Dolomite Mountains, with a light dusting of snow, a reflection of winter in the “old country”.
This Nativity is on display in the World Nativities Exhibition at Glencairn Museum in Bryn Athyn, PA from November 29, 2024 – January 26, 2025. It is available for pick up beginning February 1, 2025. For more information about the exhibition, visit https://www.glencairnmuseum.org/.
