The Young Shepherd figure from the Heide Immanuel collection by Original Heide represents a youthful shepherd in traditional attire. This hand-carved wooden figure features detailed carving and is draped in hardened fabric clothing.

The Young Shepherd is a finely hand-carved wooden nativity figure crafted by Original Heide, a family workshop in Val Gardena, South Tyrol, Italy. This figure belongs to the Heide Immanuel collection, known for its traditional nativity figures carved from maple and lime wood. The figure is posed on a wire armature, allowing for naturalistic positioning, and is dressed in hardened fabric garments that add texture and realism.

This shepherd figure stands barefoot on a base, holding a staff and wearing a textured brown outer garment over a lighter inner tunic. The hand-painted finish highlights the facial features and clothing details, enhancing the figure's lifelike appearance. Offered in various sizes from 10 cm to 55 cm, the Young Shepherd fits well in both small and large nativity sets. Navidad Nativities, a respected US retailer, carefully selects and imports these heirloom-quality figures known for their craftsmanship and traditional style.
