The Crowning with Thorns is a Passion scene from the Heide Immanuel collection by Original Heide, a family woodcarving workshop in Val Gardena. These hand-carved wooden figures are posed on wire armatures and draped in hardened fabrics.

This Passion scene depicts the moment Jesus is crowned with thorns, a significant event in the Christian narrative of the Passion. Created by Original Heide, a renowned family workshop in Val Gardena, Italy, the figures are hand-carved from wood and carefully hand-painted to capture expressive details. The collection is known for its craftsmanship, with each figure posed on wire armatures that allow for dynamic, lifelike stances.

The figures are dressed in hardened fabric clothing, enhancing the realism and texture of the scene. Offered in a range of sizes from 10 to 40 cm, this indoor collectible nativity accessory fits well with traditional and large nativity displays. Navidad Nativities, a trusted retailer with extensive expertise in artisan nativity figures, selects and ships these authentic Italian pieces.
