The Soldier Sitting figure from Original Heide represents a seated soldier, crafted by the family woodcarving workshop in Val Gardena, Italy. It features hand-carved wood with hand-painted details and fabric drapery.

This Soldier Sitting figure is part of the Original Heide workshop's collection, known for its hand-carved nativity figures from Val Gardena, South Tyrol, Italy. The figure is carved from wood, posed on a wire armature, and draped in hardened fabric clothing, combining traditional craftsmanship with realistic detail. The soldier is depicted seated on a textured base resembling bark, holding a spear and a coiled rope, dressed in period-appropriate attire including a helmet, tunic, and sandals.

Original Heide's figures are crafted from maple and lime wood and finished with hand-painting to bring out lifelike expressions and textures. The use of fabric for clothing adds depth and authenticity to the figure, making it a collectible piece suitable for indoor nativity displays. Available in multiple sizes ranging from 10 cm to 40 cm, this figure complements traditional nativity scenes and is selected and shipped by Navidad Nativities, a trusted retailer with a strong heritage in nativity art.
