This Soldier figure from Original Heide represents a hand-carved wooden nativity character crafted in Val Gardena, Italy. It features detailed carving and is draped in hardened fabric clothing.

The Soldier figure is part of the Original Heide workshop's traditional hand-carved nativity figures, carved from maple and lime wood. Each figure is posed on a wire armature, allowing for dynamic and lifelike stances, and is dressed in carefully hardened fabric garments that add texture and realism. This figure depicts a soldier holding a spear, wearing armor and a red cloak, with detailed facial expression and attire.

Original Heide is a family woodcarving workshop based in Val Gardena, South Tyrol, Italy, known for their craftsmanship in creating heirloom-quality nativity figures. The Soldier figure is available in multiple sizes ranging from 10 cm to 40 cm, suitable for indoor nativity displays.
