Sleeping Apostle is a hand-carved wooden figure from the Heide Immanuel collection by Original Heide, featuring naturalistic carving and draped in hardened fabrics.

This Sleeping Apostle figure represents one of the disciples in a resting pose, crafted by Original Heide, a family woodcarving workshop in Val Gardena, Italy. It is part of the Heide Immanuel collection, known for its detailed hand-carved wooden figures posed on wire armatures and dressed in hardened fabric garments. The figure's serene posture and lifelike details capture a moment of quiet reflection.

Hand-carved from maple and lime wood, the figure is hand-painted to enhance its realism and character. The draped clothing is made from carefully hardened fabric, adding texture and depth to the figure. Offered in various sizes ranging from 10 to 30 cm, this collectible nativity figure is suitable for indoor nativity scenes and adds a traditional Italian craftsmanship touch to any nativity set.
