Shepherd Sleeping is a hand-carved wooden figure from Original Heide's Heide Immanuel collection, featuring a sleeping shepherd draped in hardened fabric clothing. This figure exemplifies traditional craftsmanship from Val Gardena, Italy.

This Shepherd Sleeping figure represents a shepherd resting, a common character in traditional nativity scenes. It is part of the Heide Immanuel collection by Original Heide, a family workshop in Val Gardena known for hand-carving maple and lime wood figures. The figure is posed on a wire armature, allowing a natural reclining posture, and is dressed in carefully hardened fabric garments, adding realism and texture.

Available in sizes ranging from 10 cm to 40 cm, this wooden nativity figure is hand-painted with fine detail, capturing the peaceful expression and naturalistic folds of the clothing. The craftsmanship reflects the heritage of South Tyrol woodcarving, making it a collectible piece for indoor nativity sets. Navidad Nativities selects and imports these figures, ensuring high quality and authenticity.
