This Shepherd Lying figure is from the Heide Immanuel collection by Original Heide, a family workshop in Val Gardena, Italy. It is hand-carved in wood and dressed in hardened fabrics.

The Shepherd Lying figure represents a shepherd resting, crafted by Original Heide, a renowned family woodcarving workshop in Val Gardena, South Tyrol. This figure is part of the Heide Immanuel collection, known for its detailed and expressive nativity figures. It is hand-carved from wood, posed on a wire armature, and draped in hardened fabric garments that add realistic texture and depth.

Original Heide uses traditional carving techniques with maple and lime wood, hand-painting each figure to bring lifelike detail to the face and hands. The clothing is carefully treated fabric, hardened to maintain shape and enhance durability. Available in multiple sizes ranging from 10 cm to 75 cm, this figure is suitable for indoor nativity displays and collectible nativity scenes. Navidad Nativities selects and imports these authentic Italian nativity figures, ensuring heirloom quality and craftsmanship.
