Sheep for step

The Sheep for step figure represents a naturalistic sheep in mid-step, carved entirely from mountain maple wood by the Original Heide family workshop in Val Gardena, Italy. It belongs to the Heide Immanuel collection, which features undressed animals that complement various Original Heide nativity sets. Each figure is hand-carved on a wire armature and finished with textured, hand-painted details that capture the lifelike expression and woolly texture of the sheep.

Crafted with traditional techniques, this wooden nativity animal figure is available in sizes ranging approximately from 12 to 20 cm. The figure’s natural wood base is enhanced by subtle paintwork that highlights the curls of the fleece and the delicate features of the face. As with all Original Heide pieces, it is hand-signed by the artisans, ensuring authenticity and quality. This collectible nativity figure is ideal for indoor nativity scenes and pairs well with other figures from the Heide Immanuel and related Original Heide collections.
