This scene from the Heide Immanuel collection by Original Heide depicts Jesus carrying the cross as he meets the Women of Jerusalem. The figures are hand-carved wood with wire armatures and draped in hardened fabrics.

Jesus Meets the Women of Jerusalem is a detailed nativity scene figure group from Original Heide's Heide Immanuel collection. This Italian workshop in Val Gardena, South Tyrol, is renowned for hand-carving figures in maple and lime wood, posed on wire armatures, and dressed in carefully hardened fabrics. The figures capture a poignant biblical moment with lifelike expressions and naturalistic postures.

The set includes Jesus bearing the cross, wearing a crown of thorns and a cream-colored robe, alongside three women in layered, earth-toned garments with finely painted faces. The craftsmanship highlights the traditional hand-carved wood technique combined with the studio's signature fabric draping, creating a collectible indoor nativity scene piece. Sizes range from 10 cm to 40 cm, suitable for various nativity displays.

Selected and imported by Navidad Nativities, this figure group represents a unique blend of Italian heritage and artisanal quality, ideal for collectors seeking authentic wooden nativity figures with historical and devotional significance.
