This figure represents Jesus carrying the cross, a key Passion scene from the Heide Immanuel collection by Original Heide. It is hand-carved wood with painted details and dressed in hardened fabric.

Jesus Carries the Cross is a hand-carved wooden figure from the Heide Immanuel collection by Original Heide, a family woodcarving workshop in Val Gardena, South Tyrol, Italy. This figure captures the moment of Jesus bearing the cross, depicted with a crown of thorns and a distressed expression. The figure is carved from maple and lime wood, posed on a wire armature, and draped in carefully hardened fabric robes that show subtle painted bloodstains for realism.

Available in sizes ranging from 10 cm to 40 cm, this artisan Passion figure is a testament to the traditional craftsmanship of the Original Heide studio. The figure is hand-painted with fine detail and designed for indoor display, suitable for collectors of religious and nativity scenes. Navidad Nativities selects and imports this piece, reflecting their expertise in quality European nativity and Passion figures.
