Flight Into Egypt is a hand-carved wooden nativity scene group from the Heide Immanuel collection by Original Heide. It features finely detailed figures posed on wire armatures and draped in hardened fabrics.

This nativity scene group depicts the biblical Flight Into Egypt, showing Mary holding the infant Jesus while seated on a donkey, led by Joseph. The figures are hand-carved from wood by Original Heide, a family workshop in Val Gardena, Italy, known for their traditional craftsmanship. Each figure is posed on a wire armature, allowing naturalistic stances, and dressed in carefully hardened fabric garments that add texture and realism.

Mary is shown tenderly cradling the sleeping Christ child, wrapped in soft drapery, while Joseph walks ahead guiding the donkey with a rope. The donkey figure is carved with lifelike detail and painted to enhance its natural appearance. This indoor scene is available in multiple sizes ranging from 10 to 40 cm, fitting well in traditional or large nativity displays.

As part of the Heide Immanuel line, this collectible nativity scene represents a classic Italian wooden nativity figure group, combining artistry and devotion. Navidad Nativities, a respected US retailer, carefully selects and imports these heirloom-quality figures, celebrated for their craftsmanship and cultural heritage.
