The Camel Driver figure from Original Heide represents a traditional nativity character, hand-carved in wood and dressed in detailed hardened fabric garments. This figure showcases the craftsmanship of the Val Gardena workshop.

The Camel Driver is a finely hand-carved wooden figure from Original Heide, a family workshop in Val Gardena, South Tyrol, Italy. This figure is part of their traditional nativity offerings, crafted from maple and lime wood with hand-painted details. The figure is posed on a wire armature, allowing for a natural stance, and is draped in hardened fabric clothing that adds realistic texture and depth.

Standing on a round base, the Camel Driver wears a turban, a yellow jacket with cut-out detailing, blue pants, and sandals, all painted with careful attention to detail. The figure is available in multiple sizes ranging from 10 cm to 75 cm, making it suitable for various nativity scene scales. This artisan nativity figure reflects the rich heritage of Italian wooden nativity figures and is selected and shipped by Navidad Nativities, known for their expert curation of heirloom nativity pieces.
