This wooden figure depicts a donkey resting, draped with a striped blanket. It is part of the Heide Immanuel collection by Original Heide, a family workshop in Val Gardena known for hand-carved nativity figures.

The Donkey Resting with Blanket figure represents a humble nativity animal, crafted by Original Heide, a family woodcarving workshop in Val Gardena, South Tyrol, Italy. This figure is part of the Heide Immanuel collection, which features hand-carved wooden nativity figures posed on wire armatures and draped in hardened fabrics, giving them a lifelike appearance and tactile detail.

Carved from maple and lime wood, this donkey figure is hand-painted with naturalistic colors and textures to evoke a realistic resting pose. The striped blanket is a hardened fabric draped over the donkey’s back, adding to the artisanal craftsmanship. Available in sizes ranging from 10 to 20 cm, this figure complements traditional nativity sets and is suitable for indoor display. Navidad Nativities selects and ships these figures, ensuring quality and authenticity from this renowned Italian studio.
