This donkey figure from Original Heide represents a lifelike resting animal, carved and hand-painted by master artisans in the Val Gardena workshop. It pairs well with various Original Heide nativity collections.

The Donkey lying figure is a hand-carved wooden representation of a resting donkey, crafted by Original Heide, a family woodcarving workshop in Val Gardena, South Tyrol, Italy. It exemplifies the studio's tradition of carving entire figures from mountain maple wood, then hand finishing, texturing, and painting each piece with great attention to detail. The figure is posed on a wire armature and draped in hardened fabrics, consistent with the Original Heide construction method.

This figure is part of the studio's range of undressed animals that complement their Immanuel, Rustika, and Hannah product collections. Available in sizes ranging from 12 to 20 cm, it is an indoor collectible nativity animal figure that enhances traditional nativity scenes with its realistic gesture and fine craftsmanship. Navidad Nativities carefully selects and ships these figures, ensuring quality and authenticity.
