Donkey foal is a hand-carved wooden figure from Original Heide, a family workshop in Val Gardena known for lifelike nativity animals carved in maple and lime wood and hand-painted.

This donkey foal figure represents a young donkey with lifelike gestures, carved entirely from mountain maple wood by master artisans at Original Heide in South Tyrol, Italy. The figure is hand-carved on a wire armature and draped in hardened fabric, then hand-finished, textured, and painted to achieve realistic detail. Each piece is hand-signed by the studio, ensuring authenticity and craftsmanship.

Part of Original Heide's collection of nativity animals, this figure complements various product lines such as Immanuel, Rustika, and Hannah. It is available in sizes ranging from 12 to 20 cm, suitable for indoor nativity scenes. Navidad Nativities carefully selects and ships these artisan figures, which are valued for their traditional carving techniques and realistic wooden nativity figure qualities.
