This Dark Wooly Sheep Looking Right is part of the Heide Immanuel collection by Original Heide, a family workshop in Val Gardena known for hand-carved wooden nativity figures. It features a carved wood body with dark wool-like fabric.

The Dark Wooly Sheep Looking Right is a finely hand-carved wooden figure from the Heide Immanuel collection by Original Heide, a family woodcarving workshop in Val Gardena, South Tyrol, Italy. The figure is crafted from wood, posed on a wire armature, and draped in hardened fabric that mimics the sheep's woolly coat in dark tones. The delicate carving and hand-painting bring naturalistic detail to the sheep’s face and legs.

This figure is part of a traditional nativity set featuring animals essential to the nativity scene. The use of wire armatures allows for lifelike poses, and the hardened fabric adds texture and authenticity. Offered in various sizes within the collection, these wooden nativity figures are indoor pieces designed for collectors and enthusiasts of heirloom nativity art. Navidad Nativities carefully selects and imports each piece, ensuring quality and craftsmanship.
