The Boy with Donkey Foal is a hand-carved wooden figure from the Heide Immanuel collection by Original Heide, a family workshop in Val Gardena, Italy. It features naturalistic carving with hand-painted details and figures posed on wire armatures draped in hardened fabrics.

This Boy with Donkey Foal figure represents a young shepherd boy leading a donkey foal, capturing a tender moment in a traditional nativity scene. Crafted by Original Heide, a renowned family woodcarving workshop in Val Gardena, South Tyrol, Italy, this figure is hand-carved from wood and hand-painted with fine attention to detail. The boy wears a blue robe with a red belt, rendered in hardened fabric draped over a wire armature, typical of the Heide Immanuel collection's construction technique.

The donkey foal is also hand-carved and painted to show lifelike textures and coloration, complementing the boy’s figure. Available in sizes ranging from 10 to 30 cm, these figures are designed as part of indoor nativity sets and are prized for their artisan craftsmanship and traditional European nativity style. Navidad Nativities carefully selects and imports these heirloom-quality figures, which are celebrated for their authenticity and artistry in nativity collections worldwide.
