This intimate nativity study focuses on a hilltop grotto with the birth of the Savior, surrounded only by the shepherds from the surrounding countryside. A grotto carved into the hills is the location for the manger. A hand-painted night sky is the backdrop for the scene which includes carved wood figures from the Original Ulrich Collection from ULPE Wood Art, Val Gardena, Italy.
