This Dog figure is part of the Pema Kostner collection by Pema Woodcarvings, known for hand-carved and hand-painted wooden nativity figures from Val Gardena, Italy.

The Dog figure represents a traditional nativity animal, crafted by Pema Woodcarvings in their Kostner line. This figure is hand-carved from wood and meticulously hand-painted to capture the realistic fur texture and natural coloring of the dog. It is designed to complement nativity sets, particularly those featuring animals native to the nativity scene environment.

Made in Val Gardena, Italy, this figure is part of a collection that offers small nativity animals and figures, typically ranging from 9.5 to 16 cm in height. Pema Woodcarvings is recognized for its artisan craftsmanship and attention to detail, with figures selected and shipped through Navidad Nativities, a respected US retailer with a history of designing and licensing nativity collections.
