The Wood Chopper is a hand-carved wooden figure from Pema Woodcarvings' Kostner Collection, depicting a traditional villager engaged in chopping wood. It features detailed hand-painting and craftsmanship typical of Val Gardena artisans.

This Wood Chopper figure represents a villager at work, skillfully carved from wood and hand-painted by the artisans of Pema Woodcarvings in Val Gardena, Italy. It belongs to the Kostner Collection, known for its traditional nativity figures and small-scale wooden characters up to 12 cm tall. The figure shows a man with a beard, wearing a hat, vest, and rolled-up sleeves, actively chopping wood with an axe.

Crafted with attention to detail, the figure captures the rustic charm of traditional village life, making it a fitting addition to any indoor nativity scene or Christmas display.
