Shepherd sleeping is a hand-carved wooden figure from the Heide Hannah collection by Original Heide, featuring detailed carving and fabric draping typical of this South Tyrolean workshop.

This sleeping shepherd figure represents a resting shepherd from the Heide Hannah collection by Original Heide, a family woodcarving workshop in Val Gardena, South Tyrol, Italy. The figure is hand-carved from maple and lime wood, posed on a wire armature, and draped in carefully hardened fabric clothing with naturalistic texture and color.

The figure is offered in sizes ranging from 12 to 20 cm, fitting well within small nativity sets and traditional nativity scenes. The craftsmanship highlights the artisan tradition of Val Gardena, combining detailed hand-painting with realistic fabric treatment to create a collectible nativity figure.

Selected and shipped through Navidad Nativities, this wooden shepherd figure complements indoor nativity scenes, adding authenticity and warmth to traditional Christmas displays.
