This figure represents a kneeling shepherd holding a lamb, from the Heide Hannah collection by Original Heide. It features hand-carved wood with fabric draped clothing, characteristic of the Val Gardena workshop.

The Shepherd kneeling with lamb is a finely hand-carved wooden nativity figure from the Heide Hannah collection by Original Heide, a family workshop in Val Gardena, South Tyrol, Italy. The figure is carved from maple and lime wood, posed on a wire armature, and draped in hardened fabric clothing that adds realism and texture to the piece.

This shepherd figure captures a moment of gentle care, holding a lamb while kneeling, embodying the pastoral role in the nativity scene. The figure is hand-painted with natural tones, wearing layered fabric garments including a blue outer cloak and a striped head covering. Available in sizes ranging from 12 cm to 20 cm, it complements traditional nativity sets and small-scale indoor displays.

Selected and shipped by Navidad Nativities, this artisan nativity figure reflects the heritage and craftsmanship of Italian wooden nativity figures, making it a collectible piece for nativity enthusiasts and collectors of traditional Christmas decor.
