This wooden Sheep with wool white figure is part of the Original Heide collection, known for its lifelike hand-carved nativity animals dressed in vibrant fabrics. Crafted in Val Gardena, Italy, it features detailed carving and hand-painted finishes.

The Sheep with wool white figure represents a traditional nativity animal from the Original Heide workshop, a family woodcarving studio in Val Gardena, South Tyrol, Italy. This figure is carved entirely from mountain maple wood and posed on a wire armature, allowing for naturalistic gestures and stance. It is hand-finished and textured by master artisans to capture the softness and curls of sheep's wool, which is represented by the vibrant white fabric draped over the figure.

Original Heide figures are renowned for their intricate craftsmanship, combining hand-carving with hand-painting and the use of hardened fabrics for clothing and detailing. This figure fits within the scale range of 12 to 20 cm, making it suitable for indoor nativity scenes and sets. Navidad Nativities carefully selects and imports these figures, ensuring each piece meets high standards for collectible nativity figures.
