This black wool sheep figure is part of the Original Heide collection, crafted by a family woodcarving workshop in Val Gardena, Italy. It features hand-carved wood with detailed hand-painting and fabric wool.

The Sheep with wool black is a finely hand-carved wooden figure from the Original Heide studio, known for its lifelike nativity animals. Each figure is carved entirely from mountain maple and posed on a wire armature, allowing naturalistic posture and balance. The body is draped with textured, hardened fabric to represent the sheep's black wool, enhancing its realistic appearance.

Master artisans hand-finish and paint each figure, highlighting detailed facial features and hooves. This figure complements the Heide Hannah collection and fits well with traditional and small nativity sets, offered in sizes ranging from 12 to 20 cm. As an indoor collectible nativity figure, it brings authentic craftsmanship from South Tyrol to nativity scenes.
