This reclining sheep figure with brown wool is part of the Original Heide collection, known for its hand-carved wooden nativity figures from Val Gardena, Italy. It features detailed carving, hand-painting, and fabric wool layering.

The Sheep reclining with wool brown is a finely hand-carved wooden figure from Original Heide, a family workshop in Val Gardena, South Tyrol. Crafted from maple and lime wood, this figure is posed on a wire armature and draped in hardened fabric to simulate realistic wool texture. The brown wool covering is made from fabric curls that add lifelike depth to the animal's coat.

Original Heide figures are hand-finished and hand-painted by master artisans, emphasizing naturalistic details and vibrant fabrics. This sheep pairs well with the Heide Hannah collection and other traditional nativity sets from the studio. Available in sizes ranging from 12 to 20 cm, it is an indoor collectible nativity figure ideal for enhancing nativity scenes with authentic craftsmanship.
