This figure represents a dark sheep grazing, crafted by Pema Woodcarvings in their Kostner collection. It is hand-carved and hand-painted, showcasing traditional Italian nativity craftsmanship from Val Gardena.

The Dark Sheep Grazing Looking Right is a finely hand-carved wooden figure from the Pema Kostner collection by Pema Woodcarvings, a renowned studio in Val Gardena, Italy. This figure is part of their traditional nativity animals group, reflecting the artisanal heritage of Italian nativity scenes.

Carved from wood and hand-painted, the sheep is depicted in a natural grazing pose with its head lowered and turned to the right. The detailed carving captures the texture of the wool with flowing lines, and the dark coloration contrasts with its lighter legs and face. This figure is available in sizes ranging from 9.5 cm to 16 cm, suitable for indoor nativity displays.

Selected and shipped by Navidad Nativities, a respected US retailer known for curating high-quality nativity figures, this collectible wooden figure complements traditional and minimalist nativity sets alike. Its craftsmanship and authentic Italian origin make it a valued piece for collectors and nativity enthusiasts.
