This Pair of Children figure from the Pema Kostner collection by Pema Woodcarvings depicts two children, one holding a lamb. These hand-carved and hand-painted wooden figures reflect traditional craftsmanship from Val Gardena, Italy.

The Pair of Children figure represents two young villagers, a boy and a girl, rendered with delicate hand-carving and detailed hand-painting. The girl holds a lamb, symbolizing innocence and pastoral life, while the boy carries a hat and satchel, dressed in traditional attire. This figure belongs to the Pema Kostner collection, known for its finely crafted nativity figures made in Val Gardena, Italy.

Crafted from wood, these figures are part of a small nativity set scale ranging from 9.5 to 16 cm in height. The figures showcase the traditional Italian style of wooden nativity art, with smooth finishes and naturalistic colors. Pema Woodcarvings is a respected studio with a heritage of producing collectible wooden nativity figures, selected and shipped through the Navidad Nativities workshop in Pennsylvania.
