The Ox Lying figure is a hand-carved wooden nativity animal from the Pema Kostner collection by Pema Woodcarvings. It features detailed hand-painting and realistic craftsmanship typical of Val Gardena artisans.

This Ox Lying figure represents the ox, a traditional animal in nativity scenes, shown here in a resting pose. It is part of the Pema Kostner collection by Pema Woodcarvings, a studio renowned for hand-carved wooden nativity figures made in Val Gardena, Italy. Each piece is carefully hand-painted to enhance the natural wood carving with lifelike details.

The figure is offered in sizes ranging from 9.5 to 16 cm, fitting well within small to medium nativity sets. The craftsmanship reflects the long-standing tradition of Val Gardena woodcarving, combining fine carving with a warm, natural finish. This ox complements other animals and figures in traditional and small nativity sets, making it a collectible piece for indoor nativity displays.
