Old Woman

The Old Woman figure represents a traditional villager character from the Heide Hannah collection by Original Heide, a renowned family woodcarving workshop in Val Gardena, South Tyrol, Italy. This artisan nativity figure is hand-carved from wood, posed on a wire armature, and draped in carefully hardened fabric clothing, combining detailed carving with realistic textile textures.

This figure stands approximately 12 cm tall, fitting the scale of small nativity sets and figures. The face and hands are hand-painted, capturing expressive features that bring the character to life. The Old Woman wears a patterned headscarf, a shawl, and layered skirts, enhancing the traditional and rustic aesthetic typical of the collection.

Designed for indoor nativity scenes, this wooden nativity figure complements other shepherds and villagers in the Heide Hannah line. Navidad Nativities, a respected US retailer with a heritage of nativity design and museum collections, carefully selects and imports these figures to ensure authenticity and quality.
