Old man sitting

This figure depicts an old man sitting, carved by Original Heide, a family woodcarving workshop in Val Gardena, South Tyrol, Italy. It belongs to the Heide Hannah collection, which includes small nativity figures and villagers carved from maple and lime wood. The figure is hand-carved and hand-painted, with a wire armature that allows natural posing. It is draped in hardened fabric clothing, giving it a lifelike appearance and traditional character.

Offered in sizes ranging from 12 cm to 20 cm, this collectible nativity figure is crafted for indoor nativity scenes. The old man is shown seated on a textured base, wearing a hat and holding a stick, dressed in a patterned jacket and textured pants. This artisan nativity figure reflects the workshop’s heritage of creating heirloom-quality wooden nativity sets, selected and shipped by Navidad Nativities, a respected US retailer specializing in authentic Italian nativity figures.
