The Herdsman with hay is a hand-carved wooden figure from the Heide Hannah collection by Original Heide, a family workshop in Val Gardena, Italy. It features detailed carving with hand-painted finish and fabric clothing.

This figure represents a herdsman carrying hay, part of the Heide Hannah collection by Original Heide, a renowned woodcarving workshop in Val Gardena, South Tyrol, Italy. The figure is hand-carved from wood, posed on a wire armature, and dressed in hardened fabrics that include a green jacket, checked shirt, and dark trousers. The herdsman carries a woven basket filled with hay on his back, adding to the rustic authenticity of the piece.

Available in sizes ranging from 12 to 20 cm, this wooden nativity figure exemplifies the traditional craftsmanship of Val Gardena carving. The hand-painted details on the face and hands bring lifelike character to the figure, making it a collectible piece for nativity scenes. Navidad Nativities carefully selects and imports each figure, ensuring quality and heritage are preserved in every handcrafted creation.
