The Herdsman kneeling is a hand-carved wooden shepherd figure from the Heide Hannah collection by Original Heide, a family workshop in Val Gardena, Italy. It features detailed carving and is draped in hardened fabric clothing.

The Herdsman kneeling figure represents a shepherd in a humble pose, crafted by the Original Heide studio known for its traditional hand-carved nativity figures from Val Gardena, South Tyrol. This figure is part of the Heide Hannah collection, which includes small-scale nativity figures up to 12 cm in height. It is carved from wood and hand-painted with careful attention to facial expression and detail.

The figure is posed on a wire armature allowing naturalistic positioning and is dressed in layered, hardened fabric garments that add texture and realism. The shepherd wears earth-toned clothing and a head covering, embodying traditional nativity scene characterizations. The craftsmanship and materials reflect the heritage of Italian nativity art, making it a collectible piece for indoor nativity displays. Navidad Nativities selects and ships each figure, ensuring quality and authenticity.
