This Group of Dark Sheep from the Pema Rainell collection by Pema Woodcarvings features hand-carved and hand-painted wooden nativity animals from Val Gardena, Italy.

The Group of Dark Sheep represents a pair of sheep, one standing and one lying down, carved from wood and hand-painted with dark brown and cream tones. This figure is part of the Pema Rainell line, known for its traditional Italian nativity figures crafted in Val Gardena. Each piece is carefully hand-carved and painted, capturing naturalistic details and textures in the wool and facial features.

These figures are designed for indoor nativity scenes and complement other hand-carved wooden nativity animals and figures in the collection. Sizes range from 9 to 15 cm, suitable for small to medium nativity sets. Navidad Nativities, a respected retailer with a history of curating fine artisan nativity figures, offers these authentic Italian wooden animals as part of their selection.
