This figure depicts a donkey resting, draped in a striped blanket, from the Original Heide studio known for hand-carved wooden nativity figures with vibrant fabric details.

The Donkey resting with blanket is a finely hand-carved wooden figure from Original Heide, a family workshop in Val Gardena, South Tyrol, Italy. Carved from mountain maple and posed on a wire armature, this figure is hand-painted with textured finishes to capture lifelike gestures. The donkey is dressed in a striped fabric blanket, hardened for durability and vibrant color.

Original Heide figures are part of a tradition of artisan nativity figures, combining expert carving with fabric clothing to create collectible indoor nativity animals. This piece complements the Heide Hannah collection and is offered in sizes ranging from 12 to 20 cm. Navidad Nativities carefully selects and imports these figures, ensuring quality and authenticity for nativity sets from Italy.
