Boy with Lamb, seated with lamb standing

This Boy with Lamb figure represents a young shepherd boy interacting gently with a lamb, capturing a serene moment from the nativity shepherds' story. Created by Original Heide, a renowned family woodcarving workshop in Val Gardena, South Tyrol, Italy, it is part of the Heide Hannah collection known for small-scale figures up to 12 cm tall. The figure is hand-carved from maple and lime wood, posed on a wire armature, and dressed in hardened fabric garments, reflecting traditional craftsmanship.

The boy wears a striped shirt, a yellow vest, and a blue skirt-like garment, with a cloth cap on his head, all hand-painted with fine detail. The lamb is textured to resemble wool and stands with front legs resting on the boy’s lap, adding a lifelike interaction. This artisan nativity figure is ideal for indoor nativity scenes and complements traditional Christmas nativity sets, embodying the rustic charm of Val Gardena’s woodcarving heritage. Navidad Nativities carefully selects and imports these figures, ensuring heirloom quality for collectors and nativity enthusiasts.
