As with many family traditions, celebrating the Nativity is something that is passed down from the older generations. This Nativity was commissioned as a wedding present for a very special couple who chose Christmastime to celebrate their nuptials. This scene took elements from an earlier piece designed by Navidad Nativities where the design expanded on the wooden stable sheltering the Holy Family. The intricate wood-beam stable, complete with a loft is built on the back of an Inn wall and opens to the landscape below as shepherds and the Magi come to visit the Christ Child. The figures are from the Saviour Collection by ULPE Wood Art of Val Gardena, Italy and are made of finely carved alpine maple. The joy we have in creating a Nativity like this is getting to know the amazing couple who would receive it. As they returned from their honeymoon, this Nativity was waiting for them as a surprise gift from their grandparents. As with all Navidad pieces, fine details are included, including adjustable LED lighting.
